My name is Cuyler and I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Substance Use Disorder Professional in Washington State (LW61415629, CP60979446) with a Master's of Social Work from the University of Washington. I specialize in treating individuals (18+) with complex PTSD from childhood trauma, anxiety and depression, substance abuse, relationship complexities, and family estrangement from adult children of emotionally immature parents.

My passion is working with adults who have already engaged in therapy in the past, with a renewed sense of curiosity about strengthening their foundation of healing and recovery from complex trauma. 

I have 11 years' experience in inpatient and outpatient settings, with clinical expertise in co-occurring and substance use disorders. My therapeutic modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Gottman Method, EMDR (pending certification) and PAT.

Therapy is about reclaiming your authentic Self and learning how to embrace suffering that is part of life. I will work with you to attune to your parts of Self, recognize your unfavorable coping mechanisms, and discover joyful, self-compassionate ways of living.

In Washington State, I am in-network with Premera, Aetna, and Regence and in process with United Health, and more. Cash pay is also an option. If I am in process of paneling with your insurance, we'll transition to  insurance billing once I'm in-network.
