My name is Jerry and I’ve been a licensed therapist for 10 years across the field in community mental health, crisis counseling, group practice, clinic director and clinical supervisor. In my time as an employee and independent contractor, I’ve had positive and negative experiences that have helped inform what I believe is a simplified path for meeting with clients on your own terms, while also experiencing the benefits of a group practice. Benefits including, but not limited to, client accessibility through insurance billing, group consultations, coverage when on vacation or when emergencies arise, and increased visibility/referrals under a group name.
If we’re all honest, being a therapist can be pretty lonely when you’re running a practice all on your own. While there are many financial advantages to full independence, it does shortchange our ability to reach the clients that fit us and also makes it difficult to take needed breaks without fear of something happening in our absence.
With all of this in mind, this is why I’ve put together a group practice that focuses on optimizing income for each provider, minimizing overhead, and prioritizing therapists' ability to take care of themselves as they continue the hard work that is therapy.
CCS has recently partnered with Carmichael Professional Services to support start-up friendly onboarding. Providers new to private practice can get assistance with EIN, PLLC, WA Business Licensing, Liability, and CAQH (credentialing application) set up at a discounted rate that is incrementally deducted from payroll once your client billables start coming in.
